I agree matching a refresh rate to a video's frame rate is great. It makes the experience that much better and I have my video player change the refresh rate automatically every time, so good on Netflix for exploring this.
However, this wouldn't bring me back to Netflix. In large part I cancelled Netflix because they lowered the bitrate so much I got sick of seeing muddy blurred detail and macroblocks, especially in darker shades.
Quality of the image is more important than refresh rate matching.
