This is surprisingly usable as a daily driver if your compatible phone is powerful enough (PinePhone Pro certainly is), things like SMS/Calling mostly just work with APNs all properly configured on startup. The default Phosh experience is pretty polished at this point.

How does it compare to postmarketos?

Does mms work yet?

Yes. But enabling mms is not intuitive at all.

In Phosh, the MMS server settings are store in Chatty rather than with the APN settings in the Network section of the System Settings app like in every other operating system.

And since Chatty only supports using one APN, if you switch APNs, MMS stops working. On normal OSs, you can set an MMS server for each APN separately. On Phosh, you can only do MMS on one APN.

mms works pretty well if you live in of those parts of the world which still uses mms (some regions rely heavily on them and others have disabled them)

at the bottom of the article is says "Solid support for MMS"

does the battery last for 24h ?

On a PinePhone with suspend enabled, probably.

But battery life is a function of both OS and hardware. So this question really doesn't make any since.
