Yep, this is right. Tiny Phillips head fasteners tend to strip when camming out, making them not especially durable. Hexalobular ones don't cam out and are harder to strip, making them better for applications where they'll be cycled multiple times. We include a screwdriver in the box with every laptop to make sure people don't have to go searching for a T5 screwdriver.
