Per BBC article, this is the first time the human genome of a single person will be fully sequenced. The previous sequencing were of multiple people.

The BBC title is also a bit misleading, if not a bit clickbait-ish, and debatably doesn't represent the story. They could have mentioned it was about the sequencing of an entire genome of a single human being or that humans have such diversity that you can't ever sequence everyone for a complete story.
