The lawsuit is fantastic fantasy. I highly recommend reading the first paragraph.

“Defendant MX is a criminal enterprise that mimics various national and regional banks, tricking financial technology (“FinTech”) application users into giving MX their bank account usernames and passwords. MX designs fake login pages on FinTech applications. These login pages use counterfeit bank trademarks and cyberpirated URLs to impersonate banks and trick app users into giving away their bank account usernames and passwords...”


Rumor has it that MX is telling some folks under NDA that they are working on a solution to sell to banks that works like this: if you ever connected an account on their platform (not using transaction data), they will sell user account information to 3rd party banks for marketing purposes. Pretty wild stuff, if this is true.
