This project demonstrates a new build of retro style audio and graphics hardware, like that seen in 1980s arcade games. It includes software emulation, an SDK, and hardware schematics.



I'm reminded of the F18A, a replacement for the TMS9918A in the TI-99/4A computer that offers lots of enhanced graphical modes including 80-column mode, and enough sprites, colors within a sprite, and graphical layers to enable games for this 16-bit system to look 16-bit!

The F18A also works with other systems that used the TMS9918A, like the ColecoVision.



I really hope someone ports NumberWang to this.
