I'm not really a Google fan at this point in any way, shape or form. That said, maybe, just maybe, medical providers shouldn't be using Google tools to collect analytics on medical platform sites.

It seems to me, that Planned Parenthood is the one at fault here.


Google does a "great" job ensuring most people cannot understand their privacy policy. So maybe they have some fault there. I also think Google should disallow these types of websites from using Analytics.

That said, Canada has a government funded mental health website that uses(or used) Analytics. Their privacy policy makes it clear that they don't understand what it does. Even our OPC is ignorant on this matter.

Well, a cloud provider of "free" analytics is probably a bad idea for medical sites regardless of the ToS.


An excerpt from their privacy policy:

> Cookies are small text files stored on your device that identify your IP address to our servers each time you visit the Website.

That's a very generous definition of cookies.
