Literally bought Surfshark a couple of days before exfiltrating his employer’s data using it, and bungled that anyway. How was this staggeringly incompetent person getting paid $250k in the first place ?
I’m guessing Ubiquity didn’t see much value from him in the two years he worked there.
Ironic that Ubiquiti has suffered from bugs that let remote scripts deanonymize users on VPN. Maybe that was even the bug he was extorting them over? I haven't read the details but the timing might match.
