With internet censorship being used blatantly in Pakistan (yet again), I was reminded of a research paper that I wrote on this topic with some peers and students in 2014--a time when bad technology was impacting day-to-day lives of 191M+ internet-connected people in Pakistan. It seems like not much has changed since then.
