Why would you ever buy this rather than buying a regular Framework and putting ChromeOS Flex on it? Is there any difference, other than this one not giving you the ability to run other operating systems later?
Flex comes with the warning that it lacks a lot of the verified-boot stuff that Chromebooks have.
Even if some OS providers and computer makers are interested in verified boot for bad reasons, it remains true that verified boot provides a big chunk of the attack-resistance available to computer users.
