This news has come up on HN like four times already. Does anyone actually care?


I do care. I'd like to understand what Elon's endgame is here. It looks to me like his goal is to reduce trust in the establishment ("wake up sheeple") possibly with the longer-term goal of large-scale social change.

That he got so mixed up about NPR just demonstrates he's not doing a very good job, undermining his own position. I care about that too: I'm hoping for an endgame where Twitter and Musk just go away forever, and we get to keep NPR and all those other mechanisms by which the hearts and minds of the next generation are won.
