Maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves. I bet many of those superyacht contest participants are climate change deniers or agnostics, or just don't care, and "climate shaming" them through press is not going to dampen their enthusiasm for diesel megayachts and private jetting.
Perhaps there are some exceptions whose public image is literally their livlihood, but thats a small fraction.
