The answer is yes. The Government WILL abuse the power and hide behind “National Security Issues”. We seen it just 2 decades ago with how the PATRIOT was ”not wittingly” weaponized against American Citizens and not just the “terrorists”.
Sure it is. If something like TikTok or DeFi is declared a risk to national security and banned in the us, using VPN to access it will be a risk to national security as well. The powers granted by the proposed law are absurdly broad. They are literally left open to definition at a later date.
