So, going to dinner on a Saturday night is now... a luxury?

And catching a new movie on a big holiday weekend is now... a luxury?

And going to the gym after work is now... a luxury?

Doesn't this feel like a "winner-take-all economy on steroids"?

so he paid for two families essentially. $209 for two hours for one lane, that’s ignoring the 7 pairs of shoes rented so it’s not an even split.

Divide by two, that’s about $105. A bit of a fast game, but younger kids need more time. So it costs more.

There’s an event fee in there too, likely because this is a party of more than 6.

Is the price too high? Sure. That event fee in particular. Possibly could have been avoided, but maybe the fees were the start of that slippery slope we seem to be sliding down.
