I don’t like azure functions timer triggers at all. Why does it need azure storage? What is it doing differently from an HTTP trigger that requires this nonsense? Why does azurite fail to start in my local visual studio some of the time?

I am with my fellow poster. Boycott azure functions timer trigger and server less in general. Take responsibility for the machines you run.
