I clicked the „Don’t need a refund“ button. I was a happy Tweetbot user for over ten years. Since the API shutdown I tried using the official Twitter app (Catalyst for Mac) and its user experience compared to 3rd party apps is abysmal. Hard to believe, if you remember that its ancient origins was Tweetie.
As a sidenote: If I were an iOS app developer and my app used subscriptions or other IAP, I’d quietly remove year-long subscriptions as an option in the next updates.
The wording in the goodbye screen is nicely done. I wonder if Apple had to approve that message?
The third option should have said something about "this is coming directly out of our pockets" but I could totally see Apple not allowing that, just like all other approvals, for totally arbitrary reasons you can't be allowed to see.
