I agree with others, it's a nice idea. There are similar tools to this one
One of my favourite quotes is by Arnold Schwarzenegger:
>Break the rules, not the law, but break the rules. It is impossible to be a maverick or a true original if you're too well behaved and don't want to break the rules. You have to think outside the box.
If I search for "break the rules not the law", I'm not really able to find a video with Arnold's speech. However, a similar tool (https://filmot.com/) worked for me.
If I search for "Drive me closer I want to hit them with my sword" (Warhammer meme) I get nothing. If I search for just "Drive me closer", I get results. The second result has the full initial text.
I suspect what's going on is it won't search across "lines" of subtitle text.
A nice application along the same theme is Youglish, which allows finding words in Youtube videos and let you hear how they are pronounced. It works for many languages. Not affiliated, just a satisfied user. For those wondering how "de Bruijn" or "Dijkstra" are pronounced in Dutch.
Interesting idea, but if what you're looking for isn't in the top 6 videos, how do you find it? You can click on the 6th video and it will scroll to the next 5, but that's super slow and painful. The regular YouTube search has infinite scroll.
filmot.com database is 2-3 orders of magnitude larger and allows for much greater ways of filtering and searching (by channel and various parameters).
Most of the searches I've tried have thousands of times more hits there.
