Seems to me that the biggest prize would be unearthing the temple. I would imagine it would be a much bigger draw than the museum in town. Unlike thirty years ago we have ground penetrating radar that should provide good target(s) to dig. I'd think you'd get federal funds much easier to save the dunes if you got historical building status on the temple.
