Searching for any of the comparison examples will surface the reasons. Rather than rant about it, why not propose a theory that generalizes the observations?

Personally I would tend to agree, that using a sharper more capable tool is moving in the right direction. Where I disagree is that we can't all reach for the sharpest, most capable tools, as that would render many/most of us ineffective.

The next question is if only the people capable of using the sharpest, most capable tools can satisfy all production needs. That might be possible for core things such as energy production, but likely not possible for all things down to the mundane. Or to remove judgement/controversy of 'mundane', all things people are willing to pay for.
