I will never forget how amazing, sensitive, and understanding the staff was when we put our cat to sleep (she was very old and had developed a painful infection where she was wailing in pain the day before).
They were so wonderful to us. And I was thinking, do they ever get used to this? How could they? It is downright traumatic and most of these people get into the field because of their love of animals.
Wow what a heart wrenching story but worthwhile to understand hard choices vets have to deal with. Makes me so appreciate our awesome vet more than we already do.
