Tell HN: Wordle now needs an account to pay

I just now saw that Wordle needs an account to play. Wasn’t so until yesterday.

Source: I (still/used to) play Wordle daily.

I've never played it but for what it's worth I see a bunch of scripts and programs on Github that let people play Wordle locally. I have no idea how good any of them are.

Here's one [1] that was done in bash.

Same. I just tried in an incognito window and didn't have to log in to play today's Wordle.
