I struggle to comprehend the sheer gall required to request the court's permission to continue committing the exact crime you are currently imprisoned for. "Listen, I know I've got 20 years left on my murder conviction, but I really need to be granted parole so I can shoot some people".

I wonder if this suggests that Mr. Avenatti might also have a hard time practicing law from prison. He, too, used this law license to extort people and commit fraud.
