Good news! I'm going to be adding another furry character to the website thanks to this comment. Feel proud, you've had a positive impact on the wallet of a furry artist.

I hear Flashgitz are a pretty talented bunch of artists: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uqKyofFfm0

Thanks for your patronage.

The fandom will thrive.

But wait, Xe's articles frequently make it to the HN frontpage. Surely someone must be reading them?

If you don't like it, don't read it. Also consider not commenting. It's pretty well laid out in the HN guidelines.

"Please don't fulminate. Please don't sneer, including at the rest of the community."

As a hallway monitor, you should be aware that you're not supposed to be reading HN at work, now are you? :-)

What? How is the site not safe for work?

Her articles repeatedly top Hackernews. And her audience largely shares or graciously accepts her predilections. Do you know how many of the most powerful people on the internet are furries/otherkin?

> Do you know how many of the most powerful people on the internet are furries/otherkin?

what makes someone powerful on the internet?

I would say someone who administers critical internet infrastructure or who has technical influence over how the network operates.

I had a hard time following it for a moment but then it clicked that it’s kind of a narrative chat room type thing.

The content itself is well worth taking a moment to get your bearings.

Hacker culture is trans/furry/otaku/plural/neuroqueer. Get used to it.
