Changing housing laws and regulations will help solve the housing crisis.

We must wake up to a new age, where we do not regulate ourselves into a class struggle.

Firstly there are those RIDICULOUS, designed for cars. Stop designing around cars.

Next rethink the habitability model. Micro habitation with common facilities is rightly horrifying to arrogant slobs, yet is sufficient to excellent for civilized solo habitation. Cut back the space overhead in dense urban environments.


I have built 3 spec houses. I don't believe that laws and regulations were excessive. As I have said before on this forum, we don't build log cabins anymore. Houses are very complicated and dependencies and issues are often important and obscure. Regulation is necessary. I believe the issues holding back production of houses is too little suitable land at a reasonable price, the high expense of materials and labor, and inflationary expectations.
