Yes. I agree. It burns nice and hot and clean when dry. I carved a small depression in a small limb for a pipe bowl for my cousin using a sharp pocketknife and finally ended up burning the rest of the bowl to a useful depth with a hot steel bolt. It's great wood and a beautiful yellow.
