Interesting that the focus is on hydration but the main findings relate to blood serum sodium levels. Metabolic disease is becoming extremely common and reduces elimination of sodium. It could be that a major factor is metabolic disease and hydration itself becomes critical only when elimination of serum sodium is reduced.

I wonder if the link between blood sodium levels and heart problems is more related to hydration, than necessarily sodium intake.


I wonder how much timing matters. I tend to drink plenty water at home after work, but less so in the mornings
