Sure. My point is that most projects are not big projects. And most people complaining about CMake are probably not working on big project either. Just look around in this thread: people don't say "I use Meson because I work in a GAFAM-sized project", but rather "Meson is soooo infinitely better because the syntax feels more natural to me".
