Microservices are a solution for scalability problems. They can have benefits in terms of maintainability by separation of concerns - but the decision in favor or against should be based on technical decisions, not on how advanced or big your company is. Also why are people only discussing monolith vs microservices? That’s two extremes in a world of uncountable options. Why not 2 or 3 services instead of dozens of tiny ones?
