The ability to afford to do those activities could be lost. Automation pulls the value previously created by many humans and concentrates it to those who create/maintain the system. As that list of needed people shrinks, so too does the probability of a person being able to create meaningful value.


It also drastically reduces the cost to produce whatever's automated and also creates new opportunities.
