Yet another example of how Uper's corporate ethos is: "screw everyone else, we'll just do whatever is good for us". But 'oooh, it is a tech company disrupting things so we should give them some slack'. No, if Uber was actually a tech company, they whould be able to respond to such requests faster than anyone else; the police should have the data so fast they wonder how it was done.
