My biggest piece of advice is to just do it. Jump right in and start writing some apps. You'll never get good if you don't actually build anything, for the most part, so just jump in and build something.



Between stackoverflow and all of the iOS blogs, google actually makes this approach ("I'll just hack until I have a question") totally reasonable. The modern Internet has very much changed the experience of picking up a new platform.
