Just because he's good at one thing--inspiring engineers to new heights in space and e-vehicles--doesn't mean he's in any way, shape, or form, good at managing a business well outside his expertise.



Well to be fair the prior management team (and board) sucked. Stock was trash, company was bleeding money, and being insanely biased in their content moderation, etc. Elon is a systems thinker and problem solver. He didn’t know rockets before SpaceX nor cars/batteries before Tesla and those ventures, including their associated challenges and failures, have done pretty well. Time will tell.


I wouldn’t recommend betting against Musk. The track record of people who have done that is pretty poor.
