I have a few of these. It's a good companion for fruit trees as it attracts ladybugs and other aphid-eaters. Also why are we discussing this here.

also with some cultivars yarrow can be mowed down and will behave almost like a turf lawn

that would be cool. i've been switching to clover as i really don't like maintaining a lawn, and recent droughts have been awful.

I am watching some white dutch clover intentionally take over my lawn and it is rather lovely so far!

of all lawns, yarrow lawns are by far the softest, and that silvery color makes everyone go wild.

Indeed. Very invasive! Spreads via roots (in addition to seeds) and is very adaptable and drought resistant. Looks pretty and has medicinal value, but beware if you mean to keep it confined.

I've heard Yarrow is psychoactive, causing a pleasant sedative effect.
