The hardest to reach website on the internet (?) (iwbdjdyatmvezdmnekzawvb.com)
4 points by indigodaddy on Nov 22, 2022 | hide | past | favorite | 6 comments

An error occurred during a connection to iwbdjdyatmvezdmnekzawvb.com. SSL peer has no certificate for the requested DNS name.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_UNRECOGNIZED_NAME_ALERT

edit:

remove https and add www. and it's a redirect to someone's personal site...? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hah, maybe you win.

I found it here (I have nothing to do with the site, was just browsing thru this guy’s website): https://returntothesource.nl/en/

Weird.. On Safari, when I access the page, I get an error saying that "Safari can't open the Page", but when I go back to Hacker News, my page zoom settings are reset to the default settings until I go back one step more.. How is this possible?

Try dropping the https (http://iwbdjdyatmvezdmnekzawvb.com) and you get redirected to someone's art page / wordpress blog.

Just seems like a bad DNS config.

The hardest to reach website should have more than 64chars in the name (valid record but glibc and other resolver code stops at 64 or so) and latency greater than browsers' timeout.

What do you mean ... stops?

A label in a DNS name cannot be longer than 63 characters because labels are prefixed by a 6 bit length in DNS.

Edit: You're right:
