Climate crisis: Blocking roads isn’t crazy – it’s our last hope for sanity (middleeasteye.net)

There's no limit to the contempt I have for people who block roads and thus ambulances and result in needless deaths.

What do these people think about blocking abortion clinics?

(Aside from "Our blockages are done for a good cause, abortion clinic blockages aren't.")

I think you answered your own question and it’s a fair response. Civil disobedience for a good cause is good, for a bad cause is bad. Just depends on what good means to you.

Who decides what is a good cause and what is a bad cause?

No amount of technology will solve a problem that has been caused by technology to start with. There are too many people consuming too much on a planet with finite resources, but no one wants to be the one to change first. So, even if technology can save us, at the end of the day, it's mostly societal problem anyway. At some point people will need to embrace the idea of collapse.
