Well in a leaked email, Yoel admitted he lied to Elon.

It's no wonder hes gone.

Didn’t see that, link?

Is Elon really running Twitter to the ground? Can other investors replace him with another CEO?

No and no.

I think his approach here is to cut as many people as possible in order to find out which roles are actually needed and then staff back up from there.

It’s been done in many other industries over decades and is an effective (albeit ruthless) way of clearing out unneeded positions.

This is genuinely delusional at this point.

Bob Crandall, former head of American Airlines tells this incredible story about cutting back costs at an airport that AA used to fly into. [0].

Delusional or not, it works.

The video is only about 2 minutes, and it will impact your thinking about public companies forever.

Edit - to be clear, I’m not a fan of these tactics.

Do those industries rely on delicate advertiser relationships to keep the company from imploding?

You make a really good point. However, my personal belief is that advertisers will follow eyeballs. They can hold off for a bit, but the temptation has always been too great.

What "other investors"? Twitter is now a private company.

Its not fully owned by musk. A Saudi prince and the Qatar investment bank own a percentage of twitter.
