While I absolutely love what Linus wrote above, I don’t know a single person who considers Git designed with “good taste”.

I do. The internals of git are in very good taste, with a wonderful economy of concepts to build something incredibly useful.

The cli not so much, it's just serviceable, but the plumbing is a work of art.


Would it be by far the most successful VCS ever imagined if it didn't have good taste?
