I've been curious, with the EU "cookie banners everywhere" and Apple iOS privacy moves, is there a new first party analytics startup scene? Is it big and healthy?

Anyone have some favorite companies doing this?

I haven't used them personally but Simple Analytics[1] launched here on HN back in 2018[2] and seems to be growing nicely.

They bill themselves on their landing page as "EU-based & hosted. No cookies and a direct yes from your legal team" so seem to be going after the space pretty directly.
