There's no real evidence Snowden was a Russian spy. The best people can come up with is that he's in Russia, ignoring that he was stopped there en route to Ecuador.


People making these claims don't rely on evidence or even reality. It boggles my mind that people are somehow defending mass surveillance.


One can be both against Russian aggression and against unconstitutional actions by the US government at the same time.


I'm sure I'm not alone in this: I didn't know Edward Snowden was a Russian spy.

Do you have any evidence to back up that claim?


Unironically they will point to the fact that he's in Russia, not counting the fact that he was travelling to Ecuador and had his passport revoked while enroute and the US was intercepting planes coming out of Russia (even of diplomats).

I think the evidence is basically:

1. He was a spy

2. He now lives in Russia
