But not all nasal vaccines: just this one. As the article says, they need to try a reformulation to try and make it "stick" to nasal mucosa and not get swallowed. Or, move to an asthma inhaler type model.

Perhaps a two stage nasal inoculation is required, maybe one squirt of vaccine, plus mucous membrane penetrator,

followed by a second squirt of vaccine, plus mucous membrane sealer.
