What's happening in India is absolutely terryfing.

The government targets Muslims openly, turns a blind eye to crimes against them, and supports hate rhetroic until it gets international attention from countries that affect their economy (The Arabic gulf).

Any account that attacks the Government and their lies gets blocked from Indian users, and of course US companies comply directly, with no issues.

And whats is the Western response ?and where are the human rights accusations against india?, There is nothing.

human rights accusations from the West are basically political weapons, and mean nothing in reality.

> The government targets Muslims openly, turns a blind eye to crimes against them, and supports hate rhetroic until it gets international attention from countries that affect their economy (The Arabic gulf).

Do you have any source for these claims.

Just sharing only a few examples on top of my mind. This is a pretty much everyday story in India.

- Bilkis Bano case: Bilkis a muslim woman, who was 5 months pregnant, was gangraped and her three-year-old daughter was among 14 killed by a hindu mob on March 3, 2002 in Gujarat. 11 Hindu persons were convicted and jailed. In 2022 court/government set all of them free. [1]

- In 2018 police arrested a 84-year-old activist Stan Swamy. Stan was a Jesuit priest with Parkinson’s disease. At a hearing in May, he begged judges to grant him bail so he could return home for what might be his last days. After spending nearly eight months in jail, he was sent to a hospital in poor health in late May. He was placed on a ventilator and then died in custody. Later it was found that the evidence that prompted his arrest were fake and were planted on his laptop by police/hackers. [2] [3]

- Mohammed Zubair, a muslim and co-founder of a prominent fact checking website in India (AltNews) was arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. No action has been taken when many Hindu leaders have given hate speeches on video. [4][5]

- On 14 September 2020, a 19-year-old Dalit woman was gang-raped in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, India, by four upper caste men. She died two weeks later. Her body was forcefully cremated in the midnight by police. [6] Sidheeq Kappan a muslim journalist was arrested while on his way to to report on the story and he spent more than 2 years in jail. [7]

One of the saddest fallout of the Russian Ukraine war is that people like Modi get an upper hand and become more powerful by treading water between US and Russia.

I don't have a problem with BJP but Modi brand of hatred is unprecedented. Trump is similar but Trump knows his stuff and is a businessman while Modi left primary school and has been a religious vagabond all his life. His perspectives and mentally are restricted to what he has seen in his life which is almost nothing.

> And whats is the Western response

Why should west meddle in the affairs of a foreign country?

Well they always do it "to defend human rights" but suddenly that doesn't matter in India.

> Well they always do it "to defend human rights"

Which is always a bullshit excuse to soothe the masses.

> but suddenly that doesn't matter in India.

Pffff, when had it really mattered to a culture, whose propaganda had turned "And you lynch negroes" into an insensitive racist joke. It's only brought up once the establishment needs to shit on another country or needs an excuse for a military or an economic warfare.

Not sure if you are propagandist or willfully ignorant of the reality. Try not to fall for every "cry wolf" by the propagandists here https://twitter.com/andymstone/status/1579644792077946882?re...

Here are some references for you. Hope you can also share some to support your claim. You are the one who look like willfully ignorant.

This was a fabricated report as refuted by Meta. https://twitter.com/andymstone/status/1579644792077946882?re...

Apparently not - 'How the Hell Did Document Leak?' – Meta Internal Mail Belies 'Fabricated' Charge Against The Wire - https://thewire.in/tech/meta-xcheck-internal-email-watchlist

Siddharth Vardarajan, the founder editor of The Wire magazine which has published these articles, is an internationally reputed journalist who went on to become the national editor of one of India's largest and most reputed english daily newspaper (The Hindu). He studied in London School of Economics and Columbia University, has taught at New York University and still does at University of California, Berkley.

So forgive me for not believing your claim (based on someone else's weak claim) that his magazine is peddling fake news.

It's basic journalism to vet any source and have their claims verified (through other sources and methods), which 'The Wire' is known to do even more diligently than other indian media outlets. Moreover, if this was actual fake news Meta / FB would have immediately sued The Wire to have their articles taken down immediately and also filed defamation suits against them.

Both of the links that you are sharing have no strong point to support your claim. Basically you are saying those screenshots are fake by quoting another person who is saying the same.

I agree, Meta has never done anything like this before. Fully transparent and honest organization, its always working for best interest of people and democracies.

/s

Oh lets just take a claim made by a clearly biased publication (thewire.in) as the truth and say how bad the Indian Govt and Meta is and how they are stifling speech of dissenters. /s

Here you go. May be the WSJ is also biased.

“Facebook Says Its Rules Apply to All. Company Documents Reveal a Secret Elite That’s Exempt. A program known as XCheck has given millions of celebrities, politicians and other high-profile users special treatment, a privilege many abuse.”

https://www.wsj.com/articles/facebook-files-xcheck-zuckerber...

The screenshots in the article are clearly fake. There is no instagram.workplace.com

Can you please prove in any way that this url does not exist?

Ever heard of “intranet”? Local network urls are not available outside company network.

instagram.workplace.com redirects to www.workplace.com

Any other legit domains take you to their SSO page. Try walmart.workplace.com

Seems any invalid subdomain causes a redirect to the www subdomain: asdfgqwerty.workplace.com

workplace.com is owned by Meta. So who knows if they are running their own intranet instance for themselves. They dont need to pay big bucks to anyone to cause a fake redirect.

Not really surprised by this. In 2020 Facebook India's then Policy Head Aanki Das told employees that "punishing violations by politicians from Mr Modi's [Prime Minister Narendra Modi] party would damage the company's business prospects in the country". So many Sikh pages in India get banned on such a regular basis its incredible to see in real time. Considering Sikhs are a somewhat secondary target to Indian Muslims I cannot imagine the scale of operations against them.

The wire story is turning out to be false. Will you also come out and acknowledge your fault. India just saved last Sikhs from anhilation in Afghanistan islamic regime. Sikhs are near non existing in Pakistan. The only major sikh friendly nation has been india. Sure you wouldn't acknowledge that

I would if it were true however I don't think India has been particularly friendly to Sikhs or any other minority community.
