But is therea benefit to 24? I know its a nice round number, but aren't they all arbitrary numbers anyways


Less human error is a meaningful benefit, even if it has nothing to do with the tech itself.

A new generation is always behind us, and explaining a nice, even 24.0 to them will just be a better situation.
