I started PikaPods (https://www.pikapods.com/) a few months before the announcement as a simple way to throw up some open source web apps. Part of the mission is also to provide an additional revenue source for FOSS authors with our revenue sharing program.
Since then the project has seen good traction and we run a few thousand apps in two regions, EU and US.
