35 is my goal, but often, it goes beyond that. Also, for this to have any meaning, you should split into self-employed/employee. I am self-employed, so working more is to my full benefit - so the incentive is high to do it without (time) compensation.
As a side note: I actually consider 40hr-contracts that regularly go beyond that time a breach of contract from the employer side. Sadly, I see a growing sentiment that the hours in the contract are actually seen as a baseline and the hours you work more are seen as some kind of commitment-meter.
