Ask HN: Thrifty SEO or Scummy Copyright Hijack?

You've all seen the Jello commercials with the "pudding face" [1], right? Well I must have some synchronicity with their marketing department, because around the same time as those were released, I started making an app that does the same kind of face warping but is based off the "troll face" meme [2]. Now that the app is released and I've started getting a few example pictures out, I've realized that the reach of Jello's campaign is far more effective than the meme, and people recognize the app as a pudding face maker. So my dilemma is this: should I capitalize on that fact, clinging to Jello's terms and rebranding the app, or is that too black/grey hat to go over well? Mostly a moral question of course, but I'm interested to hear some opinions.
