Seems bad for business - very uncertain political climate.

Bad for business? Worse for democracy.

yeah, but democracy (unfortunately) can't move. Businesses can. Like the Internet, it can route around damage.

Why even bother voting then.

Wow, that was a long, long read. Especially for a Texan like me. What would you like me to get out of this?

Why would they? It came shockingly close to working when Trump tried it.

Yeah. No different to 2016 losers (Democrats) refusing to accept the results of the 2016 presidential election. They were so committed to reject and overturn the 2016 election, that they ran countless media misinformation campaigns and already debunked stories of foreign interference to bring down the Trump administration.

The same power transfer chaos happened in 2020 when they (Republicans) lost, and ended up attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election, from tons of failed lawsuits to then 'storming the Capitol'.

So it seems that neither side is prepared to accept the results of any electoral outcome and I can only assume that in the US that for them it is a sense of national shame for them to even call themselves a civilised constitutional republic with free and fair elections to do a proper transfer of power.

As I said before:

"Must be going just fine in the greatest republic on the planet; The United States of America."

Hard to be certain that the results are worthy of acceptance until one sees how open, fair, and free the process that produces them is.

Unfortunately, in this era, that is not a foregone conclusion.

> Acceptance of an electoral outcome — win or lose — was once a virtual certainty in American politics, although there have been exceptions.

A 10 minute montage of those exceptions: https://twitter.com/_/status/1565480585715408896

Acceptance of electoral outcomes is a good thing

And blind acceptance? I haven't been paying attention to whether the Republican doubts over the election are justified, so don't interpret this as endorsement, but in principle, elections should be scrutinized by all parties.
