Look at what the banana farmers have done to try to prevent fungus spread - and they failed.

I appreciate what NASA is doing, but I wonder if they have a chance in keeping us safe. They have to be vigilant every time they meddle with martian material - forever. To be unsuccessful they only have to make a mistake once.


Wasn't Musk talking about sending people to Mars by 2029? Nasa is talking about bringing samples back by mid 2030's but it seems like Musk will have already ventured onto the planet. Does he plan on a one way trip where these people are not coming back and is it also an experiment to see if they survive without a Martian Plague?
