This settlement mechanism needs to get reevaluated. All it seems to do is short-circuit the discovery process, which is crucial to actually bubbling the crap at the core of today's corporate malfeasors.

There is immense value in demonstrating to the public through how the corporate world works.


Anything less than breaking up each of Meta's platforms into independent businesses seems like a loss for the general public.

Is there any evidence Facebook and Zuckerberg have our best interests in mind? Or only their own?

I wish there could be more overlap in incentives aligned with the Common Good.
