Exciting! I've been buying X1 Carbons for a few years now, but I'm excited to see more SKUs coming with Linux. I think we're far from having too many choices! I have a few friends who have been using Windows for years, but with Valve investing so much into Linux gaming, and how decent PopOS is for many use cases now, they're saying they'll switch to Linux before going to Windows 11. Maybe _this_ year is the year of the Linux desktop?
Tangentially, I actually think there will need to be serious consolidation for Linux to become mainstream. Developers will not want to support many distros, so I think there will need to emerge a main distro that has support. This has kind of already happened, and there's been a main set of software that most popular distros vend, but the kind of consolidation I think would be necessary may never happen. Linux may always be for tech hipsters. Guess we'll see!
