Covid origin studies say evidence points to market (bbc.co.uk)

Evidence points to a market less than 2 football fields away from the Chinese CDC's Wuhan bioanalytics and pathology center.

Seems pretty easy for rats to pick something up from leaking bat juice in improperly secured trash, and bring it to the market.

And there you have it, the evidence does point to the origin being a wet market in Wuhan. It was not a leak from a laboratory.

This does not settle it, it will never be settle because China hid and erased evidence and blocked all access to research the source.

Clearly, you had not read the article in its entirety. It used mapping and genetics to prove that it did not come from a laboratory. It did come from the wet market, period.

And before you ask, I have no great love for for the Chinese Govt due to their ingrained culture of secrecy and censorship. The only thing they did wrong was to hide the true extent of the disease and the fact that this virus could spread through the air. This delay cost a lot of lives.

"Compelling evidence" and "It did come from the wet market, period." are a far cry from one another. Not disagreeing with this evidence that points to the origin of the outbreak.

It will be interesting to see the historical forensics develop as we actively combat COVID and future SARS-type viruses on a global scale.

It VERY unlikely that there were two separate events of transmission of two different variants of SARS-CoV2 virus. It looks like a) virus originated somewhere else and China was just a good place for virus to spread, b) it was two separate deliberate attempts to spread virus in China.

Science and trust is hard.

Why do you trust this one study and think that it ends the debate? The other is old and has been disputed

Seems more like a clickbait piece to see how much interest there still is in covid

> And before you ask...

the guilty lead with rebuttals before assumed accusations
